Our certified oncology nurses and support staff work closely with our patients and their physicians to ensure the best in quality, patient services and medical expertise.

Beyond direct medical care, our oncology case managers work closely with cancer patients to assure that all aspects of hospitalization and afer-care are in place. The case manager is a nurse, social worker and problem solver who works closely with the cancer patient and the family.

Cancer Committee
The Cancer Committee consists of physicians, key department leaders and other trained professionals who provide comprehensive care for cancer patients and their families. The committee meets quarterly and at other times as needed to provide leadership in planning, initiating and evaluating cancer-related activities at Floyd.

Cancer Registry
The Cancer Registry monitors all types of cancer diagnosed or treated at Floyd and is a critical element in the evaluation of cancer care. The cancer data gathered by the registry staff allows physicians to analyze patient care, treatment, staging, clinical outcomes and survival rates. The Cancer Registry coordinates the ACoS Accreditation Survey Process and maintains all information vital to the program.
