Each summer, Floyd Healthcare Foundation offers a Kiki's Kids Camp for youth with diabetes ages 6-12.
Activities like hiking, swimming, tennis, volleyball, nature and crafts are provided along with educational sessions to help campers understand more about diabetes and develop independence and self-discipline in their approach to living with diabetes.
This year, Kiki's Kids Camp will be held June 20 - 23, 2011 at Darlington School.
Camp Registration
Register online to participate in this year's Kiki's Kids Camp. Each camper is encouraged to bring a sibling or friend.
Volunteer Registration
Youth who have diabetes and are between the ages of 13-17 can register to be a Counselor in Training.
The funds for this program are provided by a Heritage Circle gift by the late Angelique (Kiki) Petrople, a pediatric nurse in our community who had diabetes. Her estate gift makes possible Kiki's Kids Camp each summer and provides funds to purchase supplies for diabetic children in need.
Scholarships are available. No child will be turned away due to an inability to pay.
