1. How do I get access to MCR?
Only physicians may register for access to MCR. Visit Registration for instructions on how to register.
You can access MCR via your personal PDA. Once you sign up for an MCR account, the appropriate software will be installed
by Information Technology on your PDA.
You will be shown how to obtain patient data by:
- Placing your PDA in a cradle to download from a local area network
- Connecting to the wireless network
- Use the Mckesson universal infrared synchronization stations

2. Are there a preferred palm devices that work best with MCR?
There are preferred palm devices for MCR. To get the most from MCR, the two palms below work the best.
- Tungsten C from Palm
- HP IPAQ HX4700
MCR also will work on the following:
- Palm OS versions 3.52, 3.53, 4.0, 4.1, 5.0
- Pocket PC OS devices including Pocket PC and Handheld PC devices running 3.0 and using ARM processors.
Devices must have at least 16MB memory.

When the software is installed, you will receive a 30 minute tutorial by staff member of Information Technology.
