All physicians can now view and complete patient medical records on-line, eliminating the need to return to the hospital’s Health Information Management department for chart review or completion.

Paper charts will continue to be used only while the patient remains in the hospital. However, within 24 hours of discharge the paper chart will be scanned into Floyd’s new digital system becoming electronic.

From that point forward, any signatures, approvals or other matters of completion can only be conducted on-line via the Deficiencies tab on Physician Portal.

Patients with a discharge date before February 26th will not be included in HPF. Physicians will need to complete these charts the same as in the past.
